(IT) L’intervento nasce dalla consapevolezza della necessità di un luogo religioso all’interno dell’esistente cimitero. Il progetto si sviluppa considerando una visione di insieme, che include l’architettura esistente limitrofa alla nuova Chiesa. Una struttura ben definita e apparentemente semplice definisce in modo chiaro l’idea di progetto: due strutture ad arco supportano una copertura di cls alleggerito, facendo sì che tre lati della Chiesa possano essere completamente aperti in caso di eventi e celebrazioni che necessitano di coinvolgere un pubblico più ampio di quello che può essere ospitato all’interno della nuova struttura.

Attraverso questa struttura le chiusure perimetrali della Chiesa risultano indipendenti e non strutturali, essendo quindi ampie pareti e porte scorrevoli. Il progetto, totalmente accessibile e senza barriere architettoniche, fa delle rampe e dei gradini d’accesso un motivo architettonico, che accompagna il visitatore che accede alla Chiesa con naturalezza. Inoltre in questo modo l’area limitrova all’intervento risulta riqualificata.

(ENG) This project was created since the cemetery of Siano needed a new place of worship within the existing cemetery. The project develops considering a vision of togetherness, which includes the existing architecture adjacent to the new church. A well-defined structure and apparently simple defines the idea of the project clearly: two arched structures support a lightened concrete cover, enabling three sides of the church to be completely open in case of events and celebrations that need to engage a wider audience than that which can be hosted within the walls of new structure.

Through this structure the perimeter of the church is independent and non-structural, therefore giving free walls and sliding doors. The project, totally accessible and without  architectural barriers, makes ramps and steps lead to an architectural motif, which accompanies the visitor who enters the church naturally. Also in this way the  neighboring area to the intervention is re-qualified.
